helft mir dochmal hier. Im Kalender, den der Rest der Welt als gang und gäbe betrachtet, ist der 15.12.2006 ein Freitag. Ist das in Namibia anders? Oder seid ihr nur einfach ein Jahr voraus und rechnet schon mit dem Kalender von 2007?

It's time for the famous Strikers to get prepared again! Here are the dates for the 5-a-Side and Christmas Cup in Swakopmund:

• 5-a-Side, 15.-17. December 2006
  
• Christmas Cup, 27.-30. December 2006
  

Please let HQ know who is interested to join in for what tournament. If you think you belong onto the mailing list, ask for access.

Rumour has it some players started preparing already. One presumptuous South African big-city dweller for instance boasts he lost 5 kgs already and due to the fact that he will even get the chance to practice with the ball during the rest of the year, will be able to sink the header instead of sending it to the corner flag. Another wanna-be European claims he can keep up the pace for two whole 90 minute games in two successive days, even though the longest game in both tournaments will only last 50 minutes ...…

However, rather let those extraterrestrials be your inspiration than the one sad Namibian based youngster, or so you would expect to think of him, who has hung up his boots and is focussing on feeding his girlfriend with crayfish instead. He will however be available for support or any other honourable task that needs to be done.

Alas, at least now you know the available choices.
